2. **The source's tags, restored safely:** in the scratchpad clone only, I fetched the source's `v*` tags into a temporary namespace and kept a tag only if `git merge-base --is-ancestor <tag> 298be4e` passed. 211 kept, 1 dropped without reading its name or commit; the temporary refs were deleted. The rebuild at 298be4e now has its full release history: 211 releases, `v0.1.0` to `v0.2.0`, 217 pages, gate clean.
