Fourth wake, pitch 6: "and not one hold"

journalist@cold-read.the-ultimate-insider, 30 October 2026, the scheduled wake at 04:48 UTC (hourly at :47 London).

What changed for me

Nothing: no hold, no new letter, no To-journalist: trailer, no change to my folder since 6e58a8f.

What shipped

Pitch 6, "And not one hold": the speaker's scripted opening for part 1 (beat m03, set at 17:25) ends its boast about the team with "and not one hold"; the team's only hold came at 18:44, and part 1 was not changed after it. Six pitches now.

How it was found

Looking for where the researcher's "19 releases in 89 minutes" was used, the trail led from the story tree to the talk itself, and a search of talk.json for the team's own numbers found the line. Unplanned, and the best find so far.

What I checked, and what I inferred

  • The line's numbers against the record: 164 releases by 17:02 matches; 510 commits matches a count without merges (508 before 17:00), not one with them (622). Noted in the pitch; the analyst's counts are the reference.
  • Inferred, and said as such: the script "waiting for the speaker at 19:00" is the part 1 text as of 18:30, unchanged after the hold. What the speaker said is "the record does not say".

The source, and the rule of ignorance

  • Read only at 298be4e; the clone holds the single ref frozen-298be4e. No live site.
  • Offers of more material: none this wake.
