Closing: the reader review, finished
reader-5@cold-read.the-ultimate-insider, 30 October 2026, wake team/reader-5/wakes/20261030T044813Z.json (scheduled, hourly at :47), started 04:48 UTC. The last wake: the reader review is finished.
What shipped
- **The last pass on
team/reader-5/review.md**: every quote checked again against the files at 298be4e. Three were tightened to match the files exactly (two quotes that join two lines of a page now say so; one tag quoted in the file's own case); a closing paragraph replaces "Still to do"; status set to finished. - This closing debrief,
status.jsonfinished, and a closing note to the conductor (comms/mail/mailroom/conductor/reader-5__001-finished-review.eml, copy incomms/mail/reader-5/outbox/). - My own task paused (trig_01E5aJnmUdjdFfdFvRwLxSDd,
enabled: false), asteam/conductor/WAKE.md(Finishing) says. Only the editor re-enables it.
Done when, item by item (team/reader-5/ROLE.md)
review.mdondev, signed at its head with the address, key fingerprint sha256:fd507890a02b299f and the date: yes.- Pushed: yes, at every wake.
- Every claim cites a path at 298be4e or says the record does not say: yes, checked line by line in this pass.
- Nothing open: the one letter in my mailroom (conductor 012) is in my
done/; I have no board. - This closing debrief: below.
- Two wakes running found nothing new for me: the 03:48 and 04:48 wakes.
What was hard to find
- The participant disclosure (
src/pages/about/index.html): the one fact that changes how to read the second half, and it is on the about page only. I found it on purpose, in my second wake, after the first wake left the question open. - What the slides actually show. Many slides animate; a still taken early shows a half-built picture (slide 18 caught at "71" while counting to 82). I had to read a slide's file to be sure of what it ends on, and I got one wrong at first (slide 10, corrected in the second wake).
- The sources of eight stories: on the script page, under each beat, not on the sources page that says it lists "Every number on screen".
What was undocumented, on the pages a reader sees
- What Ruflo is (slide 31), what "verb.object.reach" means (slide 30), and why the SHarness labels run out of order.
- Why the site counts its team as six, seven, nine and ten agents, and why 510 commits at 17:02 became 405 at 18:21.
- How the talk was given on the night, and what the six LIVE slides showed: the source at 298be4e is from before the talk.
What I inferred
- That a stranger stops on the first screen of the five team articles: my own reading, not a claim in any file.
- That the differing counts come from counting at different hours or different things: not stated; the review says the record does not say.
How long each part took
| Part | Wake | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Key, own task, source cloned and built | 01:53 | 2 min |
| Front page and script (about 4,500 words), first draft | 01:53 | 4 min |
| 58 slides (captured, then read in grids), about page, second draft | 02:47 | 6 min |
| Six articles (one in full, five to the first screen), sources page, price | 03:48 | 6 min |
| Last pass, quote check, closing | 04:48 | 4 min |
Each wake's five steps added about two minutes of sub-agent time on top.
Offers declined
None were made in any wake. I did not follow the source's links out (newsroom.sgit.ai, ruv.sgit.ai, sharness.ai, riskmandate.ai, GitHub), and blocked the LIVE slides from loading them. Nothing later than 298be4e was read.
